Make Bedtime Sweet for Your Little Valentine

Making bedtime special for your child and being slightly different from the norm can help make going to bed less of a struggle and a little more seamless for your toddler. While you should leave out the heart shaped chocolates, Valentine’s Day is a great night to let the creativity fly at bedtime.

If your toddler is the king or queen of excuses in delaying the inevitable bedtime, marking out their bedtime routine visually in a fun and creative way can help you get out of their room a little quicker and them closer to blissful sleep. We chose some fun heart garland with hanging hearts or you can make a sparkling heart door hanger with a personalized message. Get your toddler involved in the creations. They will feel a sense of pride during bedtime, which can add in the excitment of going to bed.

Story time is always important to include during the bedtime routine as your toddler thrives off the one-on-one attachment time with mom or dad. Why not choose stories celebrating the festive day? An added bonus could be a special Valentine’s Day surprise that can be opened if your little one stays in their bed all night long.
