8 Podcasts To Help You Sleep Better

Are you an active podcast listener? Research continues to show the ongoing growth of podcasts, both in the number of podcasts available and in the steady incline of podcast listeners. Many people like to listen to podcasts while they commute, but did you know that there is also a wide selection of podcasts that can help you sleep better?

If you haven’t already heard, Alanna McGinn, founder of Good Night Sleep Site, started a podcast in August 2018 called ‘This Girl Loves Sleep’. Now in its second season, the podcast focuses on everything from sleep tips and tools, to answering your sleep questions and taking an overall look at everything in your life that can help your family get the quantity and quality of sleep needed. Focused on sleep education and support, the ‘This Girl Loves Sleep’ podcast continues to receive top reviews for providing helpful information with real life takeaways that work.

While we’d love for you to tune in to the ‘This Girl Loves Sleep’ podcast, we also know that you may be interested in additional tools to support your sleep. If you’ve made the commitment to focus on prioritizing your family’s sleep, adding the right podcast to your bedtime routine can allow you to relax and calm your mind and body to fall asleep easily.

Podcasts To Add To Your Playlist

Before we share our list of suggested podcasts, we feel as though we need to add a disclaimer. Because podcasts are listened to through your phone or tablet, this doesn’t mean that you can keep scrolling through social media sites while you listen to a relaxing podcast that’s supposed to help you sleep! Download the podcast ahead of time and then put your phone into airplane mode or turn the wireless off so you don’t get distracted by notifications or the pull to check Instagram just one more time before bed.

In addition to some fantastic podcasts, you should also check out the Calm app. The app has 120 sleep stories for adults designed to help you nod off. Known as “slow lit”, the stories are specifically written with the hope that the listener doesn’t make it to the end. You can learn more about the stories by reading a recent article featuring one of their sleep writers.
